There was a time when getting a job was simple. You saw a “Help Wanted” sign, you walked in, shook somebody’s hand, filled out an application, and usually walked out with a job. People actually met you face to face. They looked at how you talked, how you carried yourself, and whether or not you seemed like somebody they could trust. Now? Everything feels cold.
